Antonín Manto, born in 1960, is one of the leading Czech glass artists. His artwork sits on the border between functional and fine art. His ancestors used to work in workshops of the russian tzar and so he decided to take a similar path as well. Manto's biggest penchant is work and experiments with different materials; whether it's crystal, glass, cast iron or the typical czech precious stone, Bohemian garnet. Each piece is manufactured individually, therefore it is unique and original.

Manto's artwork is based on fascination with nature (and mainly with the basic element of fire) bands together with mystique and admiration for the past times: particularly for the magical  times of Rudolph II.

Furthermore, Manto's artwork can be also found in numerous galleries and private collections all around the world. Manto has presented his artwork in over 40 personal and group exhibitions. There are personalities such as Morgan Freeman, Hilary Clinton or former pope Benedict among his clients. And if you, by chance, accommodate yourself in Four Seasons hotel in Prague or Budapest, you will be also able to see his work.
